This week's ad looks very similiar to last week's ad. There are, however, some great buys on personal hygiene items.
Kraft mayo is still$1.69 each. I have one coupon left that takes $1.50 off of two, so that comes to $1.88 for  two or 94 cents each.
Quaker oats Granola bars are $1.49 each. The coupon takes 75 cents off of two, so that comes to $1.13 each.
Palmolive dish soap is $1.49. THIS SUNDAY'S paper has a 75 cents off coupon, which brings the price down to 74 cents.
Also in this Sunday's paper is  2 coupons for L'oreal Viv Pro Shampoo or conditioner for $1.00 off. Kroger has them on sale for $2.00, net price is then $1.00 each.
In addition, there is a coupon for Soft Soap in Sunday's paper for 35 cents off, and it's on sale for $1.00, double the couppon and that comes to 30 cents each.
Also, Suave deordorant is $1.00, I have a coupon for 50 cents, so it's FREE!
Colgate toothpaste is also on sale for $2.00. I think the coupon is in Sunday's paper, but at this point I'm beginning to lose track! the coupon takes $1.00 off, for a net price of $1.00
ALL OF THE ABOVE PRICES ARE CONTINGENT ON BUYING 10 ITEMS.

Other good buys are Speed stick or Lady speed stick deordorant for 88 cents. Sunday's paper has a coupon for 50 cents. I think this means you get a whopping 12 cents BACK!
Kellog's Raison Bran is $1.98. The coupon from Sunday's paper take $1.00 off of two for a net price of $1.48 each.
Cheer laundry detergent is $4.99. Sunday's paper has a $2.00 off coupon, net price, $2.99 FOR CHEER!

GOOD BUYS BUT MAYBE NO COUPON( in case you need an ninth or tenth item to get the 10 for 10 price)
Hunts  canned tomatoes 45 cents each.
Rice a Roni  79 cents each.
Bar S hot dogs 89 cents each.
Kraft or Sargento cheeses, $1.88 each
Del Monte Fruit cups $1.49
Tombstone pizza $2.49
Green Giant Valley Fresh steamers $1.49 ( great for those who don't cook  much)
Stouffers Entrees $1.88 (5 to 21 oz) (once again great for those who don't or can't cook)
Simply potatoes (frozen) 99 cents

Good buys that DO NOT count in the  10  for 10.
Peaches, plums , nectarines 88 cent per lb.
Kroger boneless chicken breast or tenders $1.88 per pound
3 lb bag of onions for $1.88

Please, if you see something that I missed, post it! I don't mean to hog the blog!
I notice that sometimes the magazines that I read have coupons in them. I am making the effort to clip those , too!

Dear Coupon Angels,

Dear Coupon Angels,

To say thank you each time Wildwood receives groceries seems almost mundane. Truthfully,
I just cannot find the words to say thank you to each of you generous Ambassadors of Christ.

As I received the call from Melinda yesterday and met her at Wildwood - first - the amount of groceries was overwhelming!!!!

I had to laugh as I wondered what the deal was on Frosted Flakes and Suddenly Salad (which were AWESOME!!!).

But, bigger than that, I want each of you to know that as I arrived at my office thinking I would spend 30 minutes putting up groceries and go home, well, God had other plans.

As I got out of the car at church to meet the coupon angels and the "ultimate never-ending bags of food",, I noticed a couple of people sitting in a rather dilapidated and very hot car with the windows rolled down.
I had a feeling that there was probably someone inside our church asking for assistance. As I entered, I was met by our secretary who told me that we have 2 "walk-ins" asking for help.

As my 30 minutes turned into 4 + hours, and 2 more walk ins that day, the thought occurred to me how each of you just don't realize the magnitude of your gifts.

I was able to help these individuals through the day with the groceries that you provided. One was an elderly grandmother raising 3 grandchildren on a Social Security budget of $568/mo. and $300. in food stamps for her and 3 grandchildren. (ages 17, 16 and 11). The 16 yr. old Magnolia granddaughter was with her. As I interviewed this woman, the 16 yr. old granddaughter preceded to tell me that her mother was in prison and had been in and out of jail her entire life for drugs. They did not know when she would be out as she recently broke parole and was re incarcerated. As this young girl continued, she very matter of fact told me that it was probably better that her mother was in prison because when she is out, she just steals money and items from her own mother (grandma) and the young girl felt that it was better she not even have a mother in her life.
How sad to have to listen to this woman's own teenager, who she hardly knows, to have to tell me the details of her drug addicted life and the fact that she doesn't even know who her father is. The loss of innocence of this young teenager made a real impact on me as I continued to listen to their stories.

Bless the grandmother who is sacrificing her elder years to try to instill God's word and values in these children so that they don't repeat their mother's path in life. This young girl goes to Magnolia HS with your children, walks the halls and most probably don't even have a clue of the internal pain that she suffers daily.

As I helped the Grandmother and 16 yr. old, the young girl seemed overwhelmed that we would help them out and ACTUALLY GIVE them food and help without knowing them. I told them how it was possible with a wonderful group of women that selfishly give of their time and money called "Coupon Angels". As I prayed with them, it was the young girl who became very overwhelmed and grateful.

Later last night I thought of each of you and your ministry. I wonder if you know the magnitude of the impact that you make? Your may think you are having a social time and sharing camaraderie, but what each of you are a part of is an exceptional Ministry that is helping to change lives. As I reviewed my notes of the day late last night, I began to pray for each of you WONDERFUL ladies that give up your time and money each week to help so very many organizations. You are each Ambassadors of His will and are spreading His word each time you meet and people see you at Starbucks. Each time you roll your carts down the aisles of the stores - gather, exchange coupons and take the time to do the shopping and deliver the food to your list of churches and food banks, you are each part of a miracle. I wonder if you realize the example that each of you set as you shop the aisles with joyous hearts helping others?

Each time you check out, you may not know whose life you are impacting by setting this wonderful of example of being stewards of God and doing His will.

I pray for each of you wonderful ladies - for those of you who may have your own struggles - whether known or unknown - God knows your heart and the burdens that may surround you or your family.

I pray that He keeps each of you in His arms, and surrounds each of you with His Angels to protect each of you and your families. I ask Him to guide you and that each of you may feel His unending love at all times regardless of what unknown concerns you may have any particular day or week.

In closing, thank you, thank you and thank you for your generous donations.

Blessing for a wonderful week!!!

Jana Grinnan/Wildwood Assistance Ministries

Way to go Anna!

Melinda,

The new Kroger ad is out and they have some things on sale that I, and maybe others, have coupons for, so I thought I would give a "heads up."

Frosted flakes are on sale at $1.99 each and I have a $1.25 coupon off when you buy 3, so that comes to $1.58 each.

Hamburger helper is 10 for $10. I have numerous coupons for 75 cents off 3, so that comes to 75 cents each.

Ball Park hot dogs are 2 for $3. I have a couple of 75 cents off coupons , to that comes to $1.12 each.

Eckrich sausage is $2.50 and with a 75 cents off coupon, that $1.75 each.

I also have numerous Suddenly salad coupons at 50 cents off 2. I noticed that last week they were on special for, i think, $1.50 each. If so, and if they still are on sale, that would bring the price down to $1 each.

I just wish that the sunday coupons ccame out today! My red plum this week did not have any coupons!

Happy 5th of July!

Truck Load of Cheerios!

A TRUCK LOAD OF GROCERIES FOR S.O.S!

Love, love, love Monday Mornings!
Thanks to Madelyn, Robin, and Anna we bought a truck load of CHEERIOS!
We each saved over 50% (Anna 60%!) of our money by shopping sales
and using coupons and by using our brain!
Well...some brains on Monday Mornings are more clear than others!
My brain is often in a fog until Madelyn helps with the Kroger fliers and coupons to use for that day!
and that cup of coffee is always a nice plus!
Plus...
I am going to Wal-mart for the deal on Mc&Cheese and Hamburger Helper
with the donation of money we received!
(Picture to follow later!)

Come join us next Monday Morning....even if your brain is in a fog...we will help lead you to victory!
We have so much fun and we have helped our local food banks with groceries and toiletries
and cleaning supplies to which they are so
 GRATEFUL!
We are doing our small part to help our community!
 It is a good thing!
Not everyone can make it every Monday but come when you can and you will be blessed!  Invite a friend...they may need a blessing too!

to be Christ-centered,
~Melinda
