Groceries for Stonebridge!

O.K....when you say "let's ask Jesus to take the wheel"...get ready for a great ride!
This is our biggest haul of the year!
Trying to match coupons/sales this morning was not that successful. When we left Starbucks without much of a plan of our own...We asked for Jesus to take the wheel.  (That kinda sounds like a country song) and WOW!  We have so many groceries they would not fit on one picture, so I organized them in to categories.  (let me give my husband a few minutes to catch his breath from laughing so hard...me organize!)

What a great harvest for Stonebridge Church on 1488
That is 58 cans of goods!
10 Boxes of cereal
 6 Breads
11 pairs of PB&J
Ramon Noodles
Condiments
Laundry Detergent
10 bags of Rice
noodles
tuna
potatoes
and the ever needed after school snacks!
Plus we made a "Family Basket" full of helpful pantry items to leave at the doorstep of a dear family.

A big thank you to Jana, Jill, Anna, Sue, Mary Jo, Madelyn, Sharon, Robin and Elaine.
I am asking for Showers of Blessing for you ladies!

Hope to see everyone next Monday...albeit Labor day...I will be sipping coffee then off to Labor at Kroger's!
Come join in and bring a friend to labor too!

Purex coupon

There is a coupon for Purex laundry detergent in today's paper. It is for 35 cents. I believe that means that Kroger will double it. Purex is on sale for $1.99, and the coupon will bring the price down to $1.29.

Anna's Two Cents

I realized today that I'm getting "addicted". Every Wednesday morning, the first thing that I do , well, AFTER I pour myself a cup of coffee, is to read my email, searching for the  one from Kroger that arrived overnight.
This week's ad has some great buys!
Kroger is running a "Buy 8" special. I believe that for this prommotion, you MUST buy 8, mix and match, to get the reduced price. Some of these I already have coupons for, and hopefully we will find more coupons for these items in the coming Sunday's paper.
Sunny Delight is 78 cents. I have a 25 cent coupon, so that brings the cost down to 3 cents!
Hamburger or Tuna helper is 89 cents. I have a 75 cent coupon off of 3. Final cost, 64 cents each!
Progresso Soup $1.19 I have a 50 cents off 2 coupon( from last week's paper). Final cost is 69 cents each for this " healthier" soup.
Nature Valley Granola bars are on sale for $1.99. Double my 50 cents coupon , and I get the box for 99 cents!
I have 2 soup coupons, so if I buy all of the above items, I have 9 items and I have spent $5.70.

Also in the  buy 8 special.....
General Mills Trix and Cocoa Puffs cereal are $1.48 each. I have a few coupons for these. Check you General mills coupons.

Juicy Juice is on sale for $1.98. check your coupons.
And finally, Purex laundry detergent is $1.99, which is a great deal , but even better if you have a coupon! Unfortunately, mine for this item have expired.

If this Sunday's paper has any coupons for this week's Kroger ad, I will   update this later.

I have extra coupons, but I will ONLY share with those who pay the price of joining me for a cup of coffee , Monday mornings at 9 am! LOL!

Groceries for Stonebridge Church 1488

Rice and Beans!
When the stars don't always align for the coupon/sales bargains...
we can always count on Rice and Beans for a great staple for the food bank.
Even though we did pretty good with PB &J coupons!
We will be sending this weeks groceries to
StoneBridge Food Bank on 1488
We are also donating a Family Basket to help stock their pantry every Monday!
Thanks to Sharon, Robin, Madelyn, and Anna!

We can't wait for the busy days of summer to simmer down and have everyone back on Monday Mornings!
Even the Starbuck's lady is missing you!
"Where is everyone?"

Join us next Monday at 9:00 am @ Starbucks 1488
You will receive a blessing!
Bring a friend too!  We like new friends!

Anna's Two Cents!

I need help! I am having a hard time finding coupons to match this weeks specials.
I do have a coupon for $1 off  2 Juicy Juice, which is on sale for $1.98 each, which brings the price to about $3 for 2.
Kroger canned veggies are 5 for $3, or  60 cents each, BUT that is only 3 cents less per can than the normal price.
The Procter and Gamble $4 off of 4 items is still on. Last week, I was able to buy the Bounty 2-pack, 2 Herbal essence Shampoos, and 1 gillette shave cream for a total cost of $2.65 after all coupons. If you have any P & G coupons, now is the time to use them.
The Better Oats Oatmeal is 10 for $10. Oatmeal is a nutricious breakfast during the school year.
VO5 shampoos and conditioners are 69 cents each----- a real bargain, as is the 88 cents spped stick deodorants.
There IS a coupon in today's paper for 55 cents off Land O Frost lunchmeat. This weeks meal deal at Kroger is buy 1 Land O Frost lunchmeat and one pack of Korger cheese from the deli and get lettuce, cinnamon rolls, pickles, bottled water, and a reusuable grocery bag, free. Since I do not know how much the lunchmeat and cheese cost, I can't say how good of a deal this is, but it is worth clipping the coupon and checking into , once we get there.

"I tell you the truth,..."

"I tell you the truth..."
Who can finish this Bible Verse and which gospel is it from? (Hint:  My oldest son shares the name!)

This is Jana in her office at Wildwood Methodist Church.  The room is so warm and peaceful. A great place for families in need to sit and talk to Jana.  She has toys and books for the children to play with while she is working with the parents to make a game plan or better yet a "Life Plan"!
Bless your soul Jana and Wildwood Church.  I am in admiration of your hard work and dedication to make a difference in our community.

PRAY FOR SEANTON

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/seantonjorden

Please Pray for Seanton....a MHS student that has been in the ICU at Memorial Herman Hospital for over a month now....read a note from Seanton's dads Journal...

As I walked into my office here at home, I saw a book that Latrice bought Seanton called “A Divine Revelation of Angels”, by Mary K. Baxter. Seanton saw this book and begged Latrice to buy it, so she did. Seanton was so engulfed in the study of angels that for a while that is all he talked about. He wanted to do whatever it took to see angels for himself, and not just hear other people talk about their experiences. The other day, while at the hospital, Latrice wanted to buy Seanton an angel figurine from the gift shop, so she bought one and we both thought it was pretty cool. When we got to his room, Seanton was awoke and Latrice asked him “do you like the angel I bought you?” She showed it to him and asked him “if you like it blink once and if you don’t blink twice.” Seanton blinked twice. Latrice asked him why he didn’t like it and I chuckled because it reminded me how picky Seanton was about the things he likes and don't like. Latrice then asked him “Have you seen angels since you have been here? If so blink once for yes and twice for no.” Seanton blinked once! Latrice and I both looked at each other and didn’t really know what to say after that! Seanton is definetly getting his wish! I can’t wait to hear what other things he has seen when he wakes up! IT WILL BE A MIGHTY, MIGHTY TESTIMONY!!!

Groceries for Wildwood UMC ...and others!

Have you ever unloaded groceries and placed them on your staircase?

My children think I may be eligible for the "Early-Bird" special at the Alzheimer's Home!
(my mother lived with us a few years back and she had Alzheimer's so my kidos think they know all of the signs)

But the Coupon Angels bought so many boxes of cereal I had to display them for you and the staircase was the perfect spot!

39 Boxes of Cereal
22 Boxes of Kraft Mc &Cheese
11 Cans of Premium Chicken
10 Jars of Spaghetti Sauce
10 Tubes of  Crest Toothpaste

...and so much more!
Most of the groceries went to Wildwood UMC! We also made a few bags to give to the Salvation Army in Conroe.  We received an email that their shelves were empty! We also have a Magnolia family that we drop off a few bags of groceries each week to help keep their pantry stocked.

Let me just start singing Hallelujah (isn't that a beautiful word?)
Sue, Anna, Carla, Sharon, Robin, Jill, Kathy, Madelyn and our newest Angel...Bonnie!
and we have one Anonymous Angel...but I think I know who!  It is really hard to trick me!  Plus I have spy's. (kids)

I have received many text/calls/emails/face-to-face messages that this summer has been action packed for many of The Angels but have no fear things will return back to normal when school starts and we can all meet and talk about every one's summer.   Sip coffee, clip coupons, laugh, pray, rejoice, cry and then go shop for our local food banks!  It makes a great Monday!

Join us next Monday if you can and invite a friend that needs to laugh and cry too!

Thank you to all you wonderful ladies!

~to be Christ-centered,
Melinda

A few more items ...dropped off at my front door!

ANNA'S TWO CENTS WORTH!

Last week, I lamented that general mills cereals were not on sale and this week Kroger granted my wish.
All gen. mills cereals, Fiber one, and Quaker Oats are half price and I have  7 coupons for those. The actual price of each is not in the ad, so I can't calculate the final price, but bring your coupons!

There is also a $4 off when you buy four  special. I have coupons for the following items.
Bounty 2 pack is $1.99, with a 75 cents off coupon, final cost is $1.24
Herbal essence products are $1.99. I have a coupon for  buy one get one free from this Sunday's paper, so that brings it to $1.99 for 2.
Dove 10 bar bundle is $2.49, minus the $1.00 off coupon makes it $1.49.
Total price for the 4 items comes to $4.72

In the 10 for 10 specials this week are cauliflower, broccolli, squash, kroger spaghetti suace, spinner pasta, knorr's pasta or rice sides, Tampico orange juice, Hunt's snack pack puddings, and crest toothpaste.

Bumble bee tuna ,5 oz., is on special 2 for $1.00
Kraft mac and cheese is 80 cents each.

If you have any coupons for the above items, now is the time to purchase those!
